Shabbir Shah, other Hurriyet leaders arrested in Srinagar

Srinagar, April 04, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Indian police arrested several Hurriyet leaders including Shabbir Ahmad Shah in Srinagar, today, to prevent them from addressing public meetings. The police arrested Shabbir Ahmad Shah, Nayeem Ahmad Khan, Shabbir Ahmad Dar, Muhammad Yousuf Naqash, Mohammad Yasin Attai and Aijaz Ahmad Mir near Rawalpora bypass in Srinagar when they were going to Shopian to lead anti-election meetings.

The leaders were lodged in Sadar Police Station of the city. Talking to media men, Shabbir Ahmed Dar urged the Kashmiri people to boycott the forthcoming so-called elections in Kashmir to convey the message to India that they reject its illegal occupation over Jammu and Kashmir. He reiterated that the Kashmiris would safeguard the sacrifices of their martyrs at all costs.
