Javaid Mir continues poll boycott campaign

Srinagar, December 05, 2014 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, APHC leader, Javaid Ahmad Mir, today, visited various parts of Srinagar and held corner meetings in connection with elections boycott campaign, urging the people to stay away from the election drama in the territory.

Javaid Ahmad Mir on the occasion said that the sham elections were no solution to the lingering Kashmir dispute. He said that the BJP government should understand the reality of Kashmir dispute as India had been conducting such so-called elections for last over six decades in the territory but could not change its disputed status.

He said that Indian government could not deceive the international community for a long time. He said that the US State Department officials and its parliament members had time and again promised the settlement of Kashmir dispute but were yet to fulfil their promises and commitments.
