Speakers demand plebiscite in Kashmir

Islamabad, January 05, 2015 (PPI-OT): The speakers at a seminar held in connection with the Kashmiris Right to Self-Determination in Islamabad, today, called upon the United Nations to implement its resolutions, particularly the UN Security Council resolution passed on January 5, 1949, pledging the right to self-determination to the people of Kashmir.

The participants of the function jointly organized by the AJK chapters of the Gilani led forum and Hurriyet Conference Jammu and Kashmir in Islamabad demanded the holding of plebiscite to determine the Kashmiris’ political future.

AJK President Sardar Muhammad Yaqoob, Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs, Barjees Tahir, Ghulam Muhammad Safi, Shah Ghulam Qadir, Altaf Hussain Wani, Ishtiaq Hussain Wani, Ishtiaq Hameed, Pervez Ahmad Shah, Abdul Hameed Lone, Muzaffar Hussain Shah, Eng. Mehmood, Mrs Shamim Shawl and Sheikh Tajammul-Islam were among the speakers and participants of the seminar.
