Qaim Ali Shah invites Korean Companies to invest in Communication, Infrastructure and Transport sectors in Sindh
Karachi, September 17, 2015 (PPI-OT): The Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah while appreciating the expertise and quality works, has invited the Korean Companies to invest in Communication, Infrastructure and Transport sectors in Sindh. Besides, Sindh has good potential in Agriculture Sector, where investment for modern cultivation, efficient yield and export packing is needed. This he observed while, talking to the Consul General of the Republic of Korea Mr. Kim Donggi who called on him at C.M House Karachi today.
The Chief Minister Sindh, referring an example of Korean Company for construction of dual carriage way between Hyderabad and Mirpurkhas within time frame and good quality of work, placed some projects of communication and transportation including projects of BRT – light rail in Karachi that looking for International Standard expertise and investment, and invited Korean Companies to avail this opportunities.
The Chief Minister Sindh said that the Sindh Government and its organization concerned have printed out the books and broachers to showcase the upcoming projects and investment opportunities in Sindh and desired for exchange of bilateral business delegation under the Pak-Korea Business Council to witness and avail these opportunities.
The Chief Minister Sindh said that we have good bilateral relations with Republic Korea and during our previous Government, the Ex-President of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari and he himself visited Korea where they were warmly welcomed. The Chief Minister Sindh lauded the services and contribution made by the predecessor of visiting Consul General for Promotion of Bilateral Relation between both side and assured, the Consul General of Korea for extending full cooperation to him for the enhancement in bilateral relation, trade and business.
The visiting Consul General of Republic Korea, while talking to Chief Minister Sindh said that the Prime objective of his posting here at Karachi was to further promote bilateral relations with Pakistan and its Sindh Province. He said that though Korean Companies are already investing and about 200 Korean are working on different projects here in Karachi which include the steel production project under joint venture with and Arab Company but still then, Korea has big amount to invest in other project here in Sindh.
He said that he will invite the business delegation from Korea to see and explore the investment opportunities in Sindh Province. He informed that despite of communication and infrastructure, Korea has good expertise in the Health Sector and it can transfer the latest Technology to Sindh, which will reduce the health bill of Government and patients upto 10 time.
He said that Sindh has good and rich natural resources while Korean Companies have good but efficient technology and expertise to exploit these resources in the interest of both side. The Principal Secretary to C.M Sindh Alumuddin Bullo was also present in the meeting.
