District Coordination Officer orders inquiry against sanitizer staff
Peshawar: On the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Senior Minister Bashir Ahmad Bilour and complaints of the public appearing in the press, the DCO Peshawar Siraj Ahmad Khan visited Gharib Abad Supply road to ascertain the actual position regarding standing water on Friday.
Since most of the debris were lying on the road, therefore, the DCO directed the Administrator Town-I to initiate proceedings against M.I Mahal Terai-II under RSO for negligence on his part regarding cleanliness in his area and take further drastic action against the defaulting officials.
The Chief Officer Town I was directed to ensure cleanliness of the drains passing through Gharib Abad Road and submit report to him within two days. The XEN Town-I was also directed to visit the area and submit technical report alongwith PC-I for re-designing of the main Gharib Abad Road Nullah to MPA concerned Aurangzeb Khan for allocation of necessary funds for permanent solution of the problem.
On this occasion Latif S/O Ikramullah was arrested and sent to judicial lock up for blockade of the road by establishing a cattle farm near roadside as a result dung of the cattle was found on road. Similarly, on Dalazak Road some handcarts were found standing on the main road resulting blockade of the road.
The handcarts taken into possession and the accused arrested and sent to jail. In Bacha Khan Chowk, the Suzukis hindering the smooth traffic flow were also impounded and drivers sent to judicial lock up.
