Karachi, March 17, 2023 (PPI-OT): A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Governor Sindh Kamran Khan Tesuri in connection with setting up a Ramadan bachat bazaar in Shahr Quaid. Administrator Karachi Dr Syed Saifur Rehman, Commissioner Karachi Iqbal Memon, Additional IG Javed Alam Odhu and representatives of various NGOs also participated in the meeting.
The Governor of Sindh said that thrift markets will be set up at different places in the city and the people should be ensured availability of essential items at cheap prices. Kamran Khan Tesuri said that basic necessities should be provided to the public at lower than market rates in these markets, adding that through mutual cooperation, the markets should preferably be set up in the middle class and poor populations.
