Aabpara Police arrest 120 criminals, recover looted items worth Rs. 4.6 million
Islamabad: Aabpara police Islamabad has arrested 120 criminals, 115 suspects during the last three months and recovered looted items worth Rs. 46, 30,000 from them, a police spokesman said.
According to details, SP (City) Muhammad Ilyas directed ASP Khalil Bhutta and SHO Aabpara police station Muhammad Hussain Lasi to take effective steps to curb criminal activities in the area. Following these directions, special police teams were constituted headed by SHO Muhammad Hussain Lasi which accelerated efforts to arrest criminals at large. These teams succeeded to arrest a total of 120 criminals and recovered looted items worth Rs. 4.6 million.
During the last three months, these special teams of Aabpara police nabbed eight proclaimed offenders, 12 court absconders, 16 gamblers, 45 beggars, 38 drug peddlers and three car thieves. These teams also recovered 615 wine bottles, 1.5 kilogram hashish, one kilogram heroin, two tempered Corolla cars and one Surf.
A blind murder of deceased Asghar Ali, serving as Naib Qasid in NAB, was also traced and accused Naseer Ahmed resident of Kotli Sattain was arrested.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Tahir Alam Khan have appreciated this performance of ASP Khalil Bhutta and SHO Inspector Hussain Lasi and asked them to further intensify vigilance in their area.
