Abrar Ahmad inaugurates PCMA New Office
Lahore, September 15, 2020 (PPI-OT): Mr. Abrar Ahmad, Chairman Pakistan Chemical Manufacturers Association (PCMA) inaugurated the new office of PCMA today at PCSIR Housing Society Phase-2 aimed a large number renowned industrialists of chemical industry. The inaugural ceremony was also addressed by Mr. Iqbal Kidwai, Secretary General and a senior member of PCMA. The members who attended the ceremony highly appreciated the office location for being closer to the Lahore Expo Center and also having ample space for parking.
Earlier the office was situated in Eden heights at a very small space facing a lot of problems in parking of the vehicle that had been hindering the members to visit PCMA frequently. The members said they would be visiting association office now regularly to attend the meetings and events to be arranged for development of chemical industry.
Chairman PCMA Abrar Ahmad while addressing the chemical manufacturing community on this occasion informed that his meetings with government authorities had brought positive results and government had pledged to extend the fullest support for development of chemical manufacturing within the country to substitute billions dollars import of chemical every year from abroad.
He urged the chemical industry’s stakeholders to make united efforts through PCMA platform to get the favourable policy framework for chemical industry. He said that like India and China, there should be an exclusive Chemical Ministry in Pakistan too. A concrete proposal in this regard may be submitted to the Prime Minister of Pakistan in this regard, he said.
