Afghan delegation headed by Defence Minister which was on a visit to Pakistan returns home

Rawalpindi, January 31, 2013 (PPI-OT): The Afghan delegation headed by Defence Minister General Bismillah Khan Mohammadi, who was on a five-day visit to Pakistan departed today from Pakistan Air Force Base Nur Khan.During their visit the six-member delegation visited various military education and Training institutions including National Defence University (NDU), Command and Staff College Quetta, School of Infantry and Tactics Quetta, Pakistan Military Academy (PMA) Kakul, National University of Modern Language (NUML), National University of Science and Technology (NUST) where they witnessed various training activities.

The honourable delegation also visited Pakistan Ordinance Factory Wah (POF) and Special Operational School (SOS) Cherat. Defence Minister Afghanistan also witnessed different training activities in the field near Jhelum. Training for conduct of operations against militancy was also part of these exercises. The delegation appreciated the high standard of training displayed by participating troops. They underscored the significance of operational preparedness against the entire threat spectrum.

Later on the delegation was seen off by Lieutenant General Raheel Sharif, Inspector General Training and Evaluation today from Nur Khan Air base to Afghanistan.
