Muzaffarabad:The Prime Minister of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK), Syed Iftikhar Ali Gillani, has pledged to implement all necessary measures to protect lives, restore law and order, and ensure the rights of all citizens are safeguarded.
According to Radio Pakistan, in a statement made on his X handle, Gillani conveyed his profound sadness over the tragic loss of innocent lives in Pindi, Bagh, and offered heartfelt condolences to the families affected.
The Prime Minister highlighted that five months of violence, intimidation, and disruption, attributed to the proscribed Joint Awami Action Committee, have caused significant suffering to the people in the region.
Gillani emphasized the need to hold the Joint Awami Action Committee and its associates accountable for their actions, which include targeting civilians and undermining peace. He affirmed that the Azad Jammu and Kashmir government stands in solidarity with its citizens, asserting that the people deserve peace, security, and a return to normalcy.
