Ambassador Jilani expresses Pakistan’s concerns over cross-border incursion from Afghanistan in dir

Islamabad: Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani, Ambassador of Pakistan to Belgium, European Union and Luxembourg met with Mr. Martin Howard, Assistant Secretary General (Operations) of the NATO HQ today to convey Pakistan’s concerns on the recent cross-border incursion from Afghanistan in Central Dir, says a press release received here today from Belgium.

The Ambassador emphasized timely NATO/ISAF action to prevent such incursions as well as sharing of information about hideouts of such elements in Afghanistan and their support mechanism.

Ambassador Jilani also spoke to Ambassador Claudio Bisogneiro, Deputy Secretary General of NATO who expressed sympathy over the loss of life and property of our security personnel and assured of NATO’s cooperation to prevent such incursions.
