Islamabad: Pakistan’s Ambassador to Belgium, European Union and Luxembourg Mr. Jalil Abbas Jilani has launched protest over NATO/ISAF helicopters’ attacks on two Pakistan Army border Posts in Mohamand agency on the night of 25/26 November 2011 at around02:00 local time when the NATO/ISAF helicopters and fight aircraft from Afghanistan intruded about 1.5 miles into Pakistan territory and attacked two posts that resulted in martyrdom of at least 24 troops including two officers besides injuring 13 soldiers, says a press release received from Brussels here today.
In a letter to the Ambassador Claudio Bisogneiro, Deputy Secretary General NATO, the Ambassador stated that Pakistan strongly condemns the NATO/ISAF attack on the two Pakistan Army border posts and demands immediate and full explanation of this serious incident. The latest cross-border attack is a flagrant violation of Pakistan’s territorial sovereignty and is unacceptable and intolerable.
