Ahmedabad: Amb. Ata Ul Munim Shahid (Former Diplomat): Special session of OIC Executive Committee is very important in the background of prevailing tensions in Middle East and Israeli designs of expansion. Actually Israel is attempting to expand occupation over entire Gaza and West Bank. Israeli occupation over Gaza and West Bank is not acceptable to Palestinians and the Muslim World as well as it is violation of the UNSC resolutions. According to Radio Pakistan, UNSC resolutions call for establishment of a separate Palestinian state. Pakistan has adopted a very clear position on Palestine issue as Islamabad has ever been supporting Palestinians' cause. Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar is going to attend the special session of OIC Executive Committee; he will present a strong viewpoint of Pakistan at the session. Pakistan strongly condemns Israeli illegal occupation over Palestinian territories. In this background, OIC needs to issue a strong communiqué, calling for the establishment of a separate Palestinia n state, condemning Israeli occupation over West Bank and other areas. Furthermore, OIC must coordinate with other countries and UN along with a condemning resolution to the UNSC. We hope a strong communiqué from OIC special committee session. Israeli actions are actually undermining peace initiatives by President Donald Trump. But unfortunately, Netanyahu regime has its own agenda which confronts Trump's peace initiatives. Netanyahu regime is talking about going beyond West Bank which is threatening the global peace. In this regard, KSA, Turkiye, Pakistan must coordinate with EU to stop Israel from occupying over West Bank.
