APHC terms IOK situation worrisome, grim
Srinagar, June 02, 2018 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC) has termed the prevailing situation in the territory as worrisome and grim and said that in presence of over seven hundred thousand Indian troops the people are living a miserable life. The APHC in a statement issued in Srinagar said, “Kashmiris are facing horrendous situations, un-proportionate military might, detentions, desecration of religious places and unabated killings.”
The statement said that the people of Kashmir would never succumb to pressure and sacrifices rendered by Kashmiris would not go waste. “We will keep pursuing our cherished mission till it is taken to its logical conclusion,” it added.
The APHC said that killing, loot, plunder, vandalization of properties of civilians and freedom-fighters, and chopping of fruit trees by the troops had become a routine in the territory and the world human rights bodies were watching as mere spectators. The statement said that the puppet authorities once again barred the APHC Chairman, Syed Ali Gilani, from offering Friday prayers, and termed the action as brazen interference in religious matters.
