APHC urges world to play due role in resolving Kashmir dispute

In Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, senior leader of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Shabbir Ahmed Shah has called upon the international community to play its due role in resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with the UN Security Council resolutions.

In his message from New Delhi’s infamous Tihar Jail, he said it is the responsibility of the United Nations and all world major powers to avert the ongoing genocide of the Kashmiri people at the hands of brutal Indian forces.

Other APHC leaders including Moulvi Bashir Irfani, Devinder Singh Bahl and Ghulam Nabi War in their statements in Srinagar and Jammu said that non-implementation of the January 5, 1949 resolution on Kashmir continues to mock the credibility of the international community, particularly the United Nations.

The leaders deplored that Kashmiri youth are being martyred in fake encounters on a daily basis, but the world remains blithely unmoved.

On the other hand, posters with pictures of illegally detained and martyred Hurriyat leaders have appeared in Srinagar and other areas, urging the United Nations to implement its 5th January 1949 resolution on Kashmir.

The posters were displayed by several pro-freedom organizations.

Meanwhile, Indian troops, today, intensified cordon and search operations in Dangri village of Rajouri district after the killing of four persons and injuries to nine others in the area, last night.

Two more persons including a child were killed and five others injured in another incident of bomb explosion in the area, today.

The killing led to a complete shutdown in Rajouri town, today. People along with the bodies of those killed gathered at Dangri chowk, blocked roads and raised slogans against the Modi regime for its failure in protecting Kashmiris’ lives.
