On 11 February, the Biden administration announced that it intended to divert $3.5 billion of frozen assets from Da Afghanistan Bank (Afghanistan’s central bank) to families of 9/11 victims. Police in Indian-administrated Kashmir have arrested a young journalist on accusations of publishing “anti-national content”, police said, in a widening crackdown against media in the disputed region.
