Balochistan Police to Accelerate Promotions and Recruitment in Comprehensive Departmental Upgrade
Quetta: In a major organizational push, the Balochistan Police, under the direction of Inspector General Moazzam Jah Ansari, is set to expedite the promotion of vacant positions and enhance recruitment procedures to bolster law enforcement capabilities across the province. This initiative aims to fill over 1,000 constable positions and promote officers to higher ranks by the end of the month, aiming to leverage the skills of Balochistan’s youth in national service.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the IG Police has issued orders to all range DIGs and district SPs to finalize promotions by October 31 and to report back to the central office. The comprehensive promotion and recruitment strategy includes the recent promotion of seven inspectors from the Balochistan Constabulary to DSPs during a Departmental Promotion Committee (DPC) meeting held on October 7 at the Central Police Office.
The ongoing efforts reflect a significant commitment to improving the professional growth and training of police personnel. Further, the police department has intensified the recruitment process, advertising positions such as ASI and Inspector through the Balochistan Public Service Commission (BPSC). Upcoming recruitment phases will see the promotion and appointment of 42 candidates as Assistant Sub-Inspectors for the Coastal Highway, issuance of posts for 31 women ASIs, and the advertisement of 25 Inspector and 500 PASI positions through the BPSC.
This structured upgrade within the Balochistan Police is part of a broader strategy to strengthen law enforcement by ensuring merit-based recruitment and providing enhanced training opportunities to the newly promoted and recruited officers, thus significantly contributing to regional security and governance.
