Peshawar: The Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) Peshawar announced the result of SSC Annual Examination, 2011.
According to details a total of 56558 candidates including 44501 regular students appeared in the 10th class examination out of which 44934 were declared successful and thus showing overall 79.45 passing percentage.
In Science group, 31264 candidates including 23126 regular candidates appeared out of which 28267 succeeded showing 90.41 passing percentage. In Humanitarian group, a total of 16579 candidates out of 25149 passed the examination with 65.92 passing percentage.
According to overall result, Misha Wali Roll No. 83094 and Navishta Sahar Arif R.No. 83084 of Frontier Academy Hayat Abad Peshawar clinched Ist position by obtaining 966 (A I) marks while Ayesha Javed R.No. 83081 of the same Academy got 2nd position by securing 962 (A 1) marks followed by Nayab Motasim R.No. 82210 of Peshawar Model Girls High School by getting 960 (A 1) marks. Similar is the position holders in Science group.
In Arts group, Qania Obaid R.No. 93958 and Kashmala Shafiq R.No. 93956 of Qurtaba Public School (Girls) Hayatabad Peshawar got Ist and 2nd position by obtaining 870 and 850 marks respectively. While Sidratul Muntaha R.No. 91647 of Forward Public School Dalazak Road Peshawar stood 3rd by securing 847 marks. The girls students clinched Ist, 2nd and 3rd positions in the overall, science and arts groups respectively while 16 positions in the overall top 20 position holders who have secured marks in between 943—966.
The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Elementary and Secondary Education, Sardar Hussain Babak who was chief guest in the prize distribution ceremony held under the auspices of BISE Peshawar on Tuesday afternoon, distributed shields and cash awards among the position holders. The function was largely attended by the position holders, their parents and well wishers beside BISE officials.
