Business community is not ready to spare the government this time and will announce demonstration schedule soon
Rawalpindi: The President Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI) Jawed Akhtar Bhatti while commenting on the hike of Petroleum, CNG and LPG prices termed that recent climb is bombing on the masses and business community. Government actions are forcing common man to commit suicide, business community is not ready to spare the government this time and will announce demonstration schedule soon. It was stated in a press release issued here on Thursday.
Jawed Bhatti said that Rawalpindi Chamber is intact with all the trade bodies and Chambers of the country and have planned nationwide protest programme to force the government to withdraw the recent decision.
He said that government is extending the taxation burden on the masses to fulfil her non-development expenditures. He was of the view that despite the swear energy crunch the recent hike is un-understandable, industry is about to shut and government is awarding MFN status to India without addressing the concerns of the stakeholder.
President RCCI said that government stances are pushing the circumstances into civil disobedience and once the move is started it will remove the govt with it. He demanded of the government to immediately take out the decision to give relief to masses. “Business friendly policies should be promoted to enhance the trade activities in the country”, he added. He said that if the situation prevail and country’s industry will face the immense problem in the light of MFN status.
