Capital Development Authority ‘s campaign against encroachments
Islamabad: Capital Development Authority (CDA) is committed to remove the encroachments from the markets to facilitate the visitors and maintain a clean and tidy posture of the Federal Capital. In this connection no concession whatsoever to be given to the encroachers. CDA would approach the markets associations and the individual traders in writing for removing the encroachments at their own failing which CDA would confiscate the commodities and goods displayed at the encroached areas.
This was stated by the Chairman CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi during his visit to Markaz G-9 (Karachi Company) here on Tuesday. This is the second visit of the Chairman CDA in a week time to active business centre and crowded market. The Chairman CDA said that encroachment portray ugly pictures of the markets and cause hurdles to the visitors, adding that all kinds of encroachments in the veranda and adjacent areas of shops would be removed from Marakiz and markets of the city to restore the original shape of these markets.
Chairman CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi directed the concerned formations of the Authority to ensure strict monitoring system in the markets and marakiz to eradicate the mushroom growth of encroachments. Chairman CDA urged the shopkeepers to cooperate with CDA for elimination of encroachments for promotion of clean and tidy environment.
