Capital Development Authority employees resent charges against Chairman
Islamabad: The thousand of the officers and officials of the Capital Development Authority (CDA) staged a protest demonstration and a press conference here at CDA Headquarters today against the registration of false and baseless FIR against the Chairman CDA, Imtiaz Inayat Elahi and other officers on malicious, concocted and unfounded charges of theft of ropes, tents and water coolers.
The officers deplored that opportunists are misusing the name of political party have lodged a bogus FIR in connivance with the Islamabad Police, which is an attempt to blackmail the officers for not meeting their unlawful, undue and unjustified demands. The officers said that the FIR has been registered without necessary permission and therefore, against the legal norms and rule of law.
The Officers Welfare Association strongly condemned the malicious and baseless FIR and demanded that action should be initiated against the complainants of FIR and the officers / officials who register this false and baseless FIR without investigating the matter.
The Officers Welfare Association has asked the Islamabad Administration, Inspector General, Islamabad Police in intimation to the Secretary General to the President of Pakistan, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of Pakistan, Secretary Interior and Cabinet Division, Government of Pakistan to take strict action against the complainants and officers responsible for registering FIR. The officers has also warned that if no action is taken against the complainants and responsible officers for registering the FIR within seven days, all municipal and allied services to the city would be disconnected and suspended.
