India committing crimes against humanity: President AJK

 

 

President Azad Kashmir Sardar Masood Khan has said India is committing crimes against humanity and it is the duty of the international community to take note of these actions.

He was speaking at a webinar organized by the Centre for Aerospace and Security Studies in Islamabad today (Wednesday).

The President Azad Kashmir said Kashmir’s demography has already changed and the purpose of Indian government is to turn Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir into Hindu Rashtra.

General retired Zubair Mehmood Hayat said illegal Indian acts of 5 August 2019 have made Kashmir pivotal to the global power competition and has solidified Kashmir’s position as a nuclear flash point. He urged that Pakistan should press the United Nations Security Council to take strong collective action against India’s blatant violations of its legal obligations in IIOJK.

Air Marshal retired Farhat Hussain Khan said BJP-led Indian Government is trying to take away the identity of Kashmiris, commit and hide the Indian war crimes, deprive Kashmiris of their rights and properties and also subject them to major economic losses.

Rs189b being spent for development projects in South Punjab: Khusro

Minister for Industries and Production Makhdoom Khusro Bakhtiar has said that 189 billion rupees are being spent for the completion of different development projects in South Punjab.

He was chairing a high-level meeting held at South Punjab Secretariat in Bahawalpur today (Wednesday).

The Minister said the main aim for the establishment of South Punjab Secretariat at Bahawalpur and Multan is to remove the backwardness of the region.

Our Bahawalpur representative Sajjad Pervez reports that for the first time, separate annual development project has been designed for South Punjab Secretariat, under which 2500 development projects will be completed at the costing of 189 billion rupees.

Anwar Ul Haq elected as Speaker, Riaz Ahmad As Deputy of AJK-LA

 

Pakistan Tahreek-e-Insaf candidate, Anwar-ul-Haq was  elected as Speaker and Chaudhry Riyaz as Deputy Speaker of Azad Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly today.

They secured 32 votes each against the joint candidates of PPP and PML-N, who got 15 votes.

Later, both the Speaker and the Deputy Speaker took oath of their offices.

Earlier, the newly elected members of the Legislative Assembly also took oath of their offices.

Election for Leader of the House will be held tomorrow (Wednesday).

FBR collected Rs431b taxes in July: Farrukh

 

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib says it is for the first time that FBR collected 431 billion rupees taxes in July.

In his tweets on Monday, he said tax payments increased by fifty four percent, custom duties thirty seven percent, net revenue thirty six percent and gross revenue by thirty two percent last month.

Farrukh Habib said there has also been thirty percent increase in tax returns and twenty six point six percent in tax refunds.

He said Pakistan Customs also seized smuggled goods worth 3.6 billion rupees.

PTI candidates declared successful on 3 reserved seats of AJK LA

The candidates of Pakistan Tehrik Insaf have been declared successful on three reserved seats for Ulma-o-Mashaikh, technocrats and overseas Pakistanis of the AJK Legislative Assembly.

According to results issued by returning officer, Muhammad Mazhar Saeed was declared successful on Ulma-o-Mashaikh seat, Muhammad Rafique Niyar declared successful on Technocrat seat. Both the candidates secured 27 votes and their opponents bagged 13 votes

Muhammad Iqbal was declared successful on Overseas Pakistani seat with 27 votes against his rival who secured 14 votes.

It is worth mentioning that Kausar Taqdees Gillani, Imtiyaz Naseem, and Sabeeha Sadique Chaudry of PTI, Nebela Ayoub Khan of PPP and Nisaran Abbasi of PML-N have been declared unopposed against five Women reserved seats.

Masood urges people of Pakistan, Kashmir to raise voice against Indian brutalities in IIOJ&K

 

Azad Jammu and Kashmir President Sardar Masood Khan has said Indian atrocities in Indian illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir are increasing with every passing day.

Talking to PTV, he said Kashmiris are all time in battle field as youth are being killed and Indian forces are snatching agriculture land from the local farmers.

Sardar Masood said responsibility of Pakistani and Kashmiri people has soared to raise voice against Indian brutality to stop killings of innocent people in occupied valley at every possible forum to expose dirty face of Modi.

KP govt committed to provide security to people of province: Mahmood

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is committed to provide security to the people of the province.

This was stated by Chief Minister Mahmood Khan while taking notice of killing an injured patient inside premises of Lady Reading Hospital Peshawar.

He directed the Police to immediately arrest the culprits involved in the incident.

Mahmood Khan also sought a report from both the hospital administration and the Police in this regard.
