A day long Training Need Analysis Seminar, in order to standardize training modules as per operational requirements, was concluded with successful completion of the courses and mutual agreement between all senior officers of the Service after consensus here at Emergency Services Academy, Lahore on Monday. The Director General Emergency Services Academy (Rescue 1122) Brig. (R) Amir Hamza chaired the Seminar, which was attended by the Registrar Academy Dr. Muhammad Farhan Khalid, Regional Emergency Officers (North & South) Mian Riffat Zia & Dr. Zaffar Shah, Deputy Director (P&D) Faheem Ahmad Qureshi, Deputy Director (HR) Dr. Foaad Shahzad Mirza, DD (Finance) Naeem Mukhtar, DD (R&M) Engr. Irfan Naseer, DD (Operations) Ayaz Aslam, District Emergency Officer Rawalpindi Dr. Abdur Rehman, DEO Sialkot Syed Kamal Abid, DEO RY Khan Dr. Abdul Staar Babar besides other officers and other faculty members of the Academy.
The District Emergency Officers Rawalpindi Dr. Abdur Rehman, DEO R.Y Khan Dr. Abdul Staar Babar, DEO Sialkot Syed Kamal Abid and other senior officers presented upgraded training modules for different courses including Mountain Rescue etc. The house comprising of senior officers of districts, Rescue 1122 Headquarters and the faculty of the Emergency Services Academy unanimously agreed upon the upgraded courses for final implementation for ultimate betterment of the Service.
The Director General Emergency Services Academy, Brig. (R) Amir Hamza, while addressing the seminar, said that this was need of the hour to finalize training modules, different level courses thus opening the long awaited promotional criteria for rescue officers and officials. “We are glad today that we have come up with final solution as all stakeholders have unanimously adopted the courses,” he said, adding that such courses are necessary for capacity building of officers, instructors and rescuers in order to enhance their theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. Brig. Amir Hamza stated that we are imparting theoretical & practical training among rescue cadets here in the ESA through the best available trained instructors and the performance of Rescue 1122 during different emergency operations reflect the training standards of the Academy. He further said that the training facility of Murree shall be utilized in future for effective management of height rescue & fall from height rescue operations.
Later, the Director General Punjab Emergency Service (Rescue 1122), Brig. (R) Dr. Arshad Zia also joined the seminar and thanked all the officers and faculty of the Academy for brainstorming and arrangements of the seminar
