OIC condemns terrorist attack in Qatif, Saudi Arabia

Jeddah (IINA) � The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) strongly condemned Tuesday’s terrorist attack that targeted a security patrol while on duty in Al-Musawara district, Qatif, in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, killing a security officer and wounding three others.

OIC Secretary General Dr. Yousef Al-Othaimeen affirmed the Organization’s solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to combat terrorism, consolidate security and stability in the country and promote peace in the region and the world. Meanwhile, he reiterated the OIC’s firm and principled position that condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations, and the need to eliminate it and address its root causes.

The secretary general offered his sincere condolences to the family of the martyr and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
