Chief Minister presides Law and order meeting
Karachi, June 27, 2012 (PPI-OT): Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah, presided a high level meeting to review the law and order situation in the province of Sindh particularly in Karachi, held at C.M House this afternoon. The meeting was attended by Chief Secretary Sindh Raja Muhammad Abbas, Additional Chief Secretary(Home) Syed Sohail Akbar Shah, I.G Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, Deputy D.G Rangers Brig. Muhammad Rafique Khan, Commissioner Karachi Mr. Roshan Ali Shaikh, Commander ISI Commander M.I, Additional I.G, CID, Additional I.G Police Special Branch, Deputy Commissioner (all) of Karachi, Mr. Hafeezullah Abbasi and others. Chief Minister Sindh made it clear to all law enforcing agencies to fully pay attention in maintenance of law and order in Karachi, as Karachi is the economic hub of Pakistan and it is our Joint responsibility to control and curb the activities of criminals.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah further said that the Prime Minister of Pakistan Raja Pervaiz Ashraf in his recent visit of Karachi has given the top priority of government which was law and order, as such Police, Rangers and other LEA, should unitedly take prompt action against criminals and anti-state elements. He maintained that the overall performance is to be further impressed, while proper and sound proofs be collected and submitted in the courts.
Chief Minister Sindh also stressed that all requirements of law and justice be full filled and criminals be brought behind the bars for legal action. He hoped that LEA’s would submit cases with full evidences in the courts so as to get those criminals convicted accordingly.
Syed Qaim Ali Shah directed the Police officers to have approached, contacts and frequent meetings with traders, businessmen and industrialists so as to listen their problems and grievances with regard to end of Bhatta Khori and target Killings. Syed Qaim Ali Shah added that we should come upto the expectations of the people, and the lives and properties of people be protected.
He directed that the criminals being arrested, must be interrogated and challaned in the court of law. He said that we have to restore the confidence of people in general and traders, businessmen and industrialists in particular.
He added that crime must be treated as crime and Law enforcement agencies being the custodian of law should detect the crime and fully defend the law. Syed Qaim Ali Shah made it clear that no negligence or careless will be allowed and tolerated in this regard. I.G Police Sindh Syed Mushtaq Ahmed Shah, ACS(Home) Syed Sohail Akbar Shah, Deputy D.G Rangers Brig. Muhammad Rafique Khan, Commissioner Karachi Mr. Roshan Ali Shaikh, AIG Police Karachi and others highlighted the activities with regard to control the activities of criminals in Karachi.
They inofmred that some of the target killers and Bhatta Khors have been arrested and being interrogated. They assured the Chief Minister Sindh that Joint efforts of Police, Rangers and LEA’s better results are expected soon. They further assured that criminals will not be spared at any cost.
