Close coordination in Science and Technology field to bring repaid progress among developing countries: Mir Changez Khan Jamali
Islamabad: Federal Minister for S and T, Mir Changez Khan Jamali arrived in Baku yesterday to participate in BukuTel-2011-17th Azerbaijan International Telecommunication and Information Technologies Exhibition and Conference which is being held in Baku from 23rd to 26th November, according to a message received here from Baku.
The event is the largest telecommunication exhibition in the Caspian and Caucasus regions, which has, over the years, become a leading industry event and an integral part of the telecommunications market in the country and in the region as a whole. Over 250 companies from 29 countries have gathered in order to showcase new products and services.
Addressing the opening ceremony of BakuTel Exhibition and Conference the Minister for Science and Technology highlighted the tremendous advances made by Pakistan in the field of Science and technology in the last several decades which have transformed the lives of the people in our country a multitude ways as new products were becoming essential parts of our lives.
He said that those countries that have used science and technology for development have achieved greater and faster economic growth. Investment in science and technology has been instrumental in their development and prosperity, he added.
The Minister said that the developing countries should follow suit for which close coordination and mutual cooperation was the key that will unlock the doors of prosperity for us.
