Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has directed the procurement of advanced medical equipment for intravascular surgery. She discussed this initiative during a meeting with a delegation from the Board of Directors of Oklahoma Heart Hospital led by Dr. Naeem Tahir Khaili in Lahore. According to Radio Pakistan, the Chief Minister emphasized the introduction of advanced cardiac treatment procedures at the Jinnah Institute of Cardiology and Nawaz Sharif Medical City. The meeting resulted in a decision to have American doctors provide local doctors with training in modern intravascular surgery techniques. The discussions also included an agreement to extend training opportunities to doctors from Children's Hospital, Nishtar Hospital, and Jinnah Hospital, ensuring a broader reach of enhanced medical expertise across the region.
