Lahore: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has directed authorities concerned to ensure strict security arrangements during Eid-ul-Azha holidays. Chairing a meeting in Lahore today, she directed for installation of metal detectors and walk-through gates at Eid prayer congregations. According to Radio Pakistan, she also ordered deployment of patrolling teams and women police in markets on Chand Raat. The Chief Minister ordered strict action against one-wheeling, aerial firing, and the exhibition of weapons during Eid days.
