Coalition Government achieved 80 percent of its objectives: Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa
Peshawar: Senior Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Rahim Dad Khan has said that the coalition government has achieved 80 percent of its objectives and played a dynamic role in development of the country and promotion of democracy.
He said this while talking to a representative delegation at his office, Civil Secretariat Peshawar the other day. On this occasion beside Senator Farhat Abbas, MPAs from Mardan, Charsadda and Nowshera were also present.
Talking about the policies and programmes initiated by the govt, he said that 18th and 19th amendments were vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto which, he said were implemented in two- to. He said that no doubt these amendments were very welcome initiatives of the government and foresightedness of President Asif Zardari and PM Yousuf Raza Gilani made it possible with the cooperation of political parties.
Moreover he said that according to the vision of Shaheed Benazir Bhutto political act will soon be enforced in FATA adding that Govt was taking all possible steps for resolving problems of the people particularly the menace of loadshedding.
Referring to the allegations of the opposition, Rahimdad Khan said that the govt was exporting the electricity while the public were in darkness, he said it was not correct. Inspite of negative propaganda, the govt was going on successfully. He added that public welfare and strengthening of democracy was their mission. The govt was committed to improve performance of the public sector by provision of basic amenities of life at the door step of the public.
He said that the govt was aware of the courage of the people which they are demonstrating against the terrorists and vowed that war against these elements shall be continued till their end. The Minister hoped that the public will continue their cooperation to the govt for the completion of people friendly objectives and expected that they will cooperate the govt to reap benefits of the policies, plans and programmes initiated by the govt.
