Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says, today is a historic day and a milestone for the state and people of Pakistan as supremacy of Parliament is established. Talking to media in Islamabad today, along with Minister for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar, he said the Constitution is clear about supremacy of Parliament. He said consultation with all political parties is the beauty of the democratic process and no political party has been left out in this process. Information Minister said prolonged but constructive consultations were held on the constitutional package and no urgency had been shown in this regard. The minister said the constitutional package was an important step towards speedy delivery of justice in the country. In his remarks, Minster for Law and Justice Azam Nazeer Tarar thanked all the political leaders who played important role in finalizing the draft and developing consensus on the constitutional amendment. He said PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari was in constant consultation with JUI-F Chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman, which yielded positive results.
