Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, says process of political consultation is underway to develop a consensus on constitutional amendment.
Talking to media along with PML-N leader Hanif Abbasi in Islamabad today, he said participation of all political parties in the consultation process is the beauty of democracy.
Attaullah Tarar said government is giving preference to political consensus despite having required majority for the constitutional amendment.
He said taking all political parties on board is national duty of the government. The Minister said efforts are afoot to complete the consultation process today in any case.
In his remarks, Hanif Abbasi said government condemns the politics of agitation.
He said no-one will be allowed to weaken the state institutions and challenge writ of government.
Responding to a question, Information Minister Attaullah Tarar said there is a zero tolerance policy for elements who try to create chaos and disrupt peace in the country.

e said no NRO will be given to any national criminal and those who were involved in spreading fake news regarding molestation case have been traced.
The Minister said no violence was done to any student in the recent protests. He said students were brought to streets through organized campaign and an FIR has been registered against handlers.
