Lahore: Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi emphasized the need for unity and solidarity in the country during a meeting with prominent Shia scholars from various regions in Lahore. He called on religious leaders to foster brotherhood and unity, especially in the current situation facing the nation.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on discussing effective security measures and devising a comprehensive security plan for the processions and gatherings on the martyrdom day of Hazrat Ali (R.A). It was agreed that all processions on the 21st of Ramadan, observed as the martyrdom day of Imam Ali (R.A), would conclude before the Maghrib prayers to ensure safety and order.

During the meeting, the Shia scholars assured Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi of their full cooperation. They expressed their commitment to thwarting any conspiracies against the country through a united front, reinforcing the importance of solidarity and cooperation in overcoming challenges.
