Curfew Imposed in Ladakh After Indian Forces Open Fire on Demonstrators


Islamabad: In Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir, authorities have imposed a curfew in the Ladakh region after Indian forces opened fire on demonstrators, resulting in the martyrdom of at least four people and injuries to one hundred others.



According to Radio Pakistan, at least fifty people have been detained by police and paramilitary forces. The protesters are demanding statehood and the inclusion of the Ladakh region in the Sixth Schedule.



Heavy deployment of police and paramilitary personnel in riot gear has been made in Kargil, Zanskar, Nubra, Padam, Changtang, Drass, and Lamayuru to control the situation.
