Dacoits and seven outlaws arrested: stolen valuables and weapons recovered
Islamabad: Islamabad Police on Wednesday nabbed 10 outlaws from various areas of the city for their alleged involvement in dacoities, possessing illegal weapons and recovered one car, one motorbike, a mobile phone, three pistols and looted items from their possession, a police spokesman said.
On a tip off, Station House Officer of Tarnol police station Sub-Inspector Fazal ur Rehman, ASI Ali Akbar conducted a raid at the hide out of dacoits near `Sangjani and arrested three persons identified as Sabir Khan s/o Muhammad Rafique, Muhammad Wasif s/o Lal Zaman and Ashfaq s/o Rehman Ullah residents of Deer Mir Banda Tehsil Mardan.
ASI Safdar Hussain from Kohsar police station nabbed an auto-thief Faisal Mehmud and recovered a new motorbike from his possession. ASI Muhammad Iqbal from Shalimar police station impounded a cut and weld vehicle LEB-4044 while ASI Muhammad Sarfaraz from Industrial area police station nabbed Abrar Hussain and recovered looted items worth Rs. 40,000 from his possession.
ASI Khuram from Shehzad police station nabbed Yaseen and Adeel for having stolen valuables. Nilore and Golra police stations arrested Pervez and Fazal ur Rehman for having one 30 bore pistol each.
Police have registered cases against these nabbed persons under relevant sections and further investigation is underway from them.
IGP Islamabad Bani Amin Khan and SSP Islamabad Muhammad Yousuf Malik have appreciated this overall performance and further directed to improve their output against anti-social elements.
