Rawalpindi: The fifty-fourth death anniversary of Urdu, Punjabi, and Pothohari poet Baqi Siddiqui was observed on Thursday. According to Radio Pakistan, Baqi Siddiqui was born in 1905 in Rawalpindi. His real name was Muhammad Afzal. He made significant contributions to the literary world and was closely associated with Radio Pakistan Rawalpindi. Throughout his career, he wrote many songs in the Pothohari language, enriching the cultural tapestry of the region. Baqi Siddiqui passed away on this day in 1972, leaving behind a legacy celebrated by literature enthusiasts and cultural historians alike.
