Karachi: The thirty-second death anniversary of renowned Qawwal Ghulam Farid Sabri was observed today. Ghulam Farid Sabri, along with his brother Maqbool Sabri, were famously known as the Sabri Brothers and gained significant recognition in the world of Qawwali. According to Radio Pakistan, the Sabri Brothers were celebrated for their soulful renditions of qawwalis, with popular pieces including "Mera Koi Nahin Hai Tere Siwa," "Bhardo Jholi Meri Ya Muhammad," and "Taajdar-e-Haram." These compositions are considered timeless and continue to resonate with audiences across generations. Ghulam Farid Sabri passed away in 1994 in Karachi. His legacy continues to influence and inspire many in the realm of Sufi music and beyond.
