The change of guard ceremony in connection with defence day was held at the Mazar-e-Quaid in Karachi this morning. A smartly turned out contingent of cadets from Pakistan Air Force Academy, Asghar Khan took over the guard duties at mausoleum of the father of the nation. Air Officer Commanding PAF Academy Asghar Khan, Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan Sitara-e-Imtiaz military was the chief guest at the ceremony. He laid wreath at Mazar-e-Quaid and recorded impressions in impression. On the occasion, Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan Sitara-e-Imtiaz paid salute to the martyrs who laid down their lives this day in 1965 war defending the motherland from the enemy. He expressed the determination that defense of the country, its territorial borders will be safeguarded and will not hesitate in rendering any sacrifice defending the motherland. Air Vice Marshal Shahryar Khan said Pakistan is a peace loving and progressive nation and made it clear our pacifism should not be considered as our weakness and vowed that al l the ill designs of the enemy will be foiled.
