District Police Officer, Sialkot visits Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with his DSPs and SPs
Sialkot, January 25, 2021 (PPI-OT): Mr. Hassan Asad Alvi, District Police Officer, Sialkot visited the Sialkot Chamber of Commerce and Industry along with his DSPs and SPs. Qaisar Iqbal Baryar, President SCCI welcomed the DPO Sialkot and praised the dynamic leadership of Mr. Alvi and several initiatives taken to protect the law-and-order situation.
The President informed that Sialkot was an Export Oriented City wherein the business community was always on the hit list. “We strongly believe that the District Police is not only well versed with the current challenges but is also capable to overcome the prevailing challenges”, he added. A documentary based on different sectors of Sialkot was also shown to the guests.
Mr. Baryar also informed that Sialkot Chamber had a Crime Watch Committee working under the Chairmanship of Mr. Waqas Akram Awan. He said that the purpose of the committee was to create a better liaison between Business Community and District Police. He suggested that to resolve the case of mutual grievances of the Business Community, an MoU should be signed between this Chamber and District Police that would promote the spirit of cooperation between the two institutions.
Mr. Hassan Asad Alvi, District Police Officer while addressing the business community of Sialkot, congratulated the President Chamber for the successful launch of AirSial. He appreciated the work ethics of the people of Sialkot. He endorsed that the Law-and-order situation of the city should be under control for the continuation of the business activities. He said that the image of the police department needed to be rebuilt with an improved redress mechanism.
“With the cooperation of Sons of Sialkot, 6 model Thana(s) have already been reshaped but a lot of work is still needed”, he added. District Police Officer informed that to address the traffic issues of Sialkot, Traffic Plans had been made. The DPO requested that the support of the Business Community would be required to remove the Engineering errors where needed. Mr. Qaisar Iqbal Baryar, President SCCI assured of his cooperation for the improvement of the traffic situation within the city.
