Diversion System in Dasu Hydropower Project to be completed by May

The Diversion System in Dasu Hydropower Project will be completed in May this year while its power generation will start in late 2026.

This was told by the project management during a briefing to Chairman of WAPDA retired Lieutenant General Sajjad Ghani on the occasion of the Dasu Hydropower Project.

On this occasion, Chairman WAPDA also inaugurated the newly constructed project office building.

He also met the Grand Jirga comprising the local elders of Kohistan.

During the meeting with the members of the Jirga, Chairman WAPDA said that the agreement reached between the United Kohistan Jirga, WAPDA and the civil administration last month will be beneficial for the local people.

Dasu Hydropower Project of 4,320 MW will be completed in two phases. Upon completion of both phases, Dasu will become the largest project providing 21 billion units of hydropower to the National Grid.
