DPM Holds Strategic Meetings with Russian and Iranian Counterparts

Tianjin: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has conducted separate meetings with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov and Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting. During the meeting with the Russian Foreign Minister, both parties agreed to enhance cooperation in trade, energy, and defense sectors. The Deputy Prime Minister also extended an invitation to the Russian Foreign Minister to visit Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his meeting with Iranian Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to regional peace and stability. Both leaders reviewed bilateral cooperation across various areas and discussed the evolving regional situation following the recent Israeli aggression against Iran.

Meanwhile, the Deputy Prime Minister also met with Foreign Minister of Kyrgyzstan Kulubaev Zheenbek Moldokanovic at the Great Hall in Beijing. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to the longstanding bilateral relationship and to enhancing collaboration across all areas of mutual interest.

On another front, the Deputy Prime Minister also engaged in discussions with his Kazakh counterpart Murat Nurtleu on the margins of the meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping. The two sides reiterated their resolve to deepen bilateral ties and expand collaboration across regional and multilateral forums.
