Islamabad: UN Secretary-General candidate Rebeca Grynspan met with Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar in Islamabad today. Ishaq Dar reiterated Pakistan's steadfast dedication to the purposes and principles of the UN Charter, including respect for international law and treaties.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar stressed the importance of resolving disputes peacefully through the implementation of UN Security Council resolutions to achieve lasting global peace. He emphasized resolving the Jammu and Kashmir dispute and the Palestine issue as critical areas for attention. The Deputy Prime Minister also highlighted the UN system's role in promoting the global development agenda.
