DPM to Attend Session of OIC Executive Committee in Jeddah

Jeddah: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has arrived in Saudi Arabia on a two-day visit to participate in the Extraordinary Open-Ended Ministerial Meeting of the OIC Executive Committee. He was received at King Abdulaziz International Airport by Pakistan's Permanent Representative to the OIC Fawad Sher, Pakistan's Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, Ahmad Farooq, and Consul General in Jeddah Syed Mustafa Rabbani.

According to Radio Pakistan, the visit is part of efforts to engage in discussions on key issues affecting the member states of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The meeting aims to address pressing challenges and explore potential solutions to enhance cooperation among the member nations.

The presence of Pakistan's top officials at the airport underscores the importance of this session for the country. The Deputy Prime Minister's participation is seen as a commitment to strengthening ties with fellow OIC member states and contributing to the organization's objectives.

The meeting is expected to cover a range of topics relevant to the Islamic world, including socio-economic development, political stability, and collective security.
