Provincial Election Commissioner Muhammad Anwar Chohan says Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) is making every effort to ensure fair and transparent elections.

He said this during his visit to Umerkot to review the preparations for by-elections of Umerkot PS-52.

Earlier, Deputy Commissioner Umerkot Nadeem-ur-Rehman Memon while giving detailed information about the arrangements said 128 polling stations have been set up for PS-52 polling.

He said complaint cells have also been established in the Deputy Commissioner’s Office, District Returning Office and Returning Office for immediate resolution of the problems faced in the by-elections.

The seat was vacated after the death of Syed Ali Mardan Shah.

Polling will be held on Monday.
