Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrated in occupied Kashmir

Srinagar, January 26, 2013 (PPI-OT): In occupied Kashmir, Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) was celebrated with religious fervour. Special congregational prayers and processions were held in Srinagar and other towns of the occupied territory. Despite intense cold, thousands of devotees including women and children thronged Hazratbal Shrine in Srinagar to have a glimpse of the Holy Relic of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).

Milad processions were taken out at different places. A huge Milad car procession was organised by Karwan-i-Islami. The rally started from Saraibala and ended in Sumbal area of Bandipora district. Srinagar and other towns of the Valley have been presenting a festive look since the beginning of Rabi-ul-Awwal as markets have been illuminated to celebrate the birthday of Prophet Muhammad (SAW).
