Islamabad: Evidence has surfaced regarding the presence of illegal Afghan nationals in the PTI’s protest. These illegal Afghans were allegedly paid to instigate violence during the demonstration.
According to Radio Pakistan, a detained illegal Afghan militant named Baitullah confessed that they fired at police and Rangers personnel during the protest. Another arrested Afghan, Ibrar-ul-Haq, claimed they were lured with payments ranging from two to three thousand rupees by the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to open fire on security personnel. He further stated that their gunfire resulted in injuries to Islamabad police personnel.
Other detainees have reportedly made similar confessional statements, corroborating the involvement of illegal Afghan nationals in the violent activities at the protest. The revelations have raised serious concerns about the infiltration of foreign elements in domestic political events and their potential impact on the country’s security.
