Fashion Designing exhibition attracts women
Islamabad: Rawalpindi Arts Council organized an exhibition of Fashion Designing for the encouragement and promotion of the young generation of the region here on Monday. Amina Shakeel Awan, wife of Shakeel Awan member National Assembly along with Naheed Manzoor inaugurated the exhibition. About 35 female students participated in the exhibition. More than 100 dresses designed by the students were put on display.
The participant showed keen interest in dresses including shalwar kameez, frocks, night gown, trouser shirts, gharare and kurte. The medium of the dresses was silk printing, screen printing and fabric printing. Addressing to inaugural ceremony Amina Shakeel Awan said that the progress of the country lies with women contribution in every sector and that possible when women are educated and skilful.
She further said that Miss Rizwana imparted training to the students with full zeal and zest. Naheed Manzoor was also of the view that these students will play a pivotal role in fashion industry after completion of their studies.
She further said that Rawalpindi Arts Council is contributing in the field of art and culture. Razina remained first, Saira Bano second while Maria Imtiaz got third prize for best designing. Amina Shakeel Awan distributes awards and certificates among the students.
