Islamabad: The federal government has launched the 'No Child Left Behind' (Koi Bacha Peechay Na Rahey) campaign to bring out-of-school children to schools.
According to Radio Pakistan, in his televised message on the occasion, Minister for Education Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui stated that it will be ensured that no child remains out-of-school in the federal capital and adjoining areas.
He called on all segments of society to partner in this campaign. The Minister highlighted that many schools already have second shifts and suggested that more schools could adopt this model to accommodate additional students.
He also assured that the effectiveness of the accelerated literacy program would be strengthened. Khalid Maqbool Siddiqui emphasized that the factors contributing to the large number of out-of-school children would also be addressed.
