Federal Minister for Housing Presides over meeting to Review Progress on Housing Project
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Housing and Works Makhdoom Syed Faisal Saleh Hayat presided over a high level meeting to review progress on the housing projects being undertaken by the Pakistan Housing Authority (PHA) and Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation (FGEHF) here today.
The Minister said that timely completion of housing projects would not only help to overcome the paucity of accommodation for the government employees, entitled groups and general public but also save them to pay unaffordable rent of the hired houses out of their meagre income. He said that Pakistan Housing Authority and Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation should multiply their efforts for the speedy accomplishment of the housing projects and launching more housing schemes for the benefit of shelter less people throughout the country under Prime Minister’s Housing for All Program.
The heads of Pakistan Housing Authority and Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation briefed the meeting about the progress on the in hand and upcoming housing projects of their respective organizations. It was informed that PHA has made all the arrangements for launching housing projects in I-12 and I-16 sectors and Kurri Road in Islamabad for the government employees and general public. The meeting was further informed that Federal Government Employees Housing Foundation would launch more housing schemes near future to mitigating the sufferings of the shelter-less government employees, entitled groups and general public.
The meeting was attended by the Secretary Housing and Works Raja Muhammad Abbas, senior officials of the Ministry and attached organizations.
