Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs lauds political parties’ role in Azad Jammu and Kashmir
Islamabad: Federal Minister for Kashmir Affairs & Gilgit-Baltistan, Mian Manzoor Ahmad Wattoo appreciated the positive role of all political parties in the AJK’s electioneering, saying no party encouraged violence and election campaigns had ended peacefully.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, the Minister told all necessary arrangements for maintaining law and order situation during AJK polling were completed.
He told paramilitary forces will be deployed along with local administration to maintain law and order situation.
Commenting on the remarks of PML-N leader Shehbaz Sharif, the Minister said no one should accuse others without investigation and proof.
He invited Shehbaz Sharif to hold judicial inquiry into the allegations, said he will resign from his ministerial slot if found guilty otherwise Shehbaz Sharif should do the same.
Briefing about his sincere efforts for holding free and fair elections, he said this election would prove a precedent for future polls in the history.
The Minister urged the people of AJK to participate in the election peacefully and accept the results.
