FESCO staff should be present at complaints centre and grid stations in three shifts

Faisalabad, March 16, 2023 (PPI-OT): Distribution system has been upgraded to provide uninterrupted electricity to consumers during Ramadan, said Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisalabad Electric Supply Company (FESCO) Engr. Bashir Ahmad. Area planning of dozens of feeders and maintenance of thousands of distribution transformers as well as replacement of corroded wires were completed across the FESCO region to provide maximum relief to electricity consumers during Ramadan, he added.

He said that there would be no compromise on the continuous supply of electricity; he warned that if there is an unusual power outage in any area of the region, the concerned officers would be held responsible and immediate departmental action will be taken against him.

He also directed that transformer trolleys should be kept ready in all sub-divisional offices and in case of transformer burn or damage during Sehar, Iftar and Tarweed hours, and electricity should be restored immediately by installing trolley transformer so that consumers do not face any problem at the time of worship.

He directed that FESCO staff should be present at complaints centre and grid stations in three shifts so that in case of breakdown on any feeder, electricity could be restored in the shortest possible time. Engr. Bashir Ahmad said that electricity bills should be sent to customers with accurate and clear pictures by taking accurate meter readings. Penalty policy should be taken into account and no consumer should be penalized beyond the detection policy. He directed the FESCO officers and officials to achieve the set targets of reduction in line losses and recovery.
